We have now gotten a US Made and Union shop to sell us BAT shirts in all designs at a low cost.

First, what's the best way to tell some parents that their kids have admitted that they aren't getting hard in school because their parents don't make them. That the kids have said that mom and dad don't care what they make as long as they pass, and that if mom and dad raised expectations on their grades, they would try harder because they don't want to get into trouble.
Second, what some things that you all do to push your high kids (enrichment activities/assignments), and what are some things you all do to help your low kids.
I have some things for the high kids, but I want more. I don't have a lot for the low kids.
You didn't mention what subject(s) you teach so it is difficult to offer specific ideas for enrichment activities. Offering students a choice of assignments/activities that provide varying degrees of difficulty (and corresponding grade ranges) along with providing rubrics has always worked for me.
Students who have parents with lower expectations will also work to please you, so if you have high expectations many students will work harder to meet your expectations. You must first have a caring and supportive relationship with your students for this to work. Your students need to know that you will not let them fail, and that you are there to assure that they succeed!
