This is for every teacher who refuses to be blamed for the failure of our society to erase poverty and inequality, and refuses to accept assessments, tests and evaluations imposed by those who have contempt for real teaching and learning.

We have now gotten a US Made and Union shop to sell us BAT shirts in all designs at a low cost.
Bumper stickers are coming soon and we hope to add more shirt types (tank, polo) if there is interest in the t-shirts!
Some people over on the Facebook list have asked about some sort of official plan of action.
At present, BAT has more of a general:
Weekly Email, Facebook, Twitter, and Letter-Writing "Action Mondays"
Mid-week Email, Facebook, Twitter, and Letter-Writing Actions to support allied goals (State, Federal, et cetera)
Plan and execute Board of Education and Statehouse Visits
Providing friends, relatives, community members with input and perspective, from those who are the Education Professionals, on education issues of the day - and offering these services to elected and appointed representatives at all levels.
Not sure what, exactly, some are looking to see, over that, but, please, let us know your thoughts, ideas, and such, here. Things to do, conferences, webchats/webinars, podcasts, alternatives to CCSS, specific Bills to modify or replace existing Legislation, et al.
Facebook discussions are, notoriously, hard to follow, so this is the place. Have at it!

I'm not ignoring you, I just don't know enough about those things to contribute anything. It seems so well organized and active as it is, but my toe has been out of the water for 5 years...a long time when it come to more progressive thinking! I'm not used to being a follower, but I'm adjusting and know its time for me to do so!
